![Yesterday's birthday cake wanted little frosting - today's wanted lots! The great thing about frosting is that you can create so many different looks but scrape it off if you want! [Although, I will say, my buttercream is GOOD, even my sister who was never a frosting fan eats a lot of mine 🥰]
Anyways, back to THIS cookie cake! Birthday girl sent me two inspo pics. She liked the style of one but the colors of the other. Voila, we have the perfect blend!
If you haven't ordered a cake before, I tell customers, yes please send inspo pics! I'll never be able to match them perfectly, but that's for a variety of reasons. One is it's someone else's art so you have to make it your own. But perfect color matching is impossible, I can't even match my own from one cake to another. Colors look different based on different screen settings, etc. Plus you may send me a a pic of a 6" cake but you're ordering a 10" - the width and height are totally different. But I pull from the inspo pics and you get a cake unique to YOU, and that's what matters. Oh, and it's likely more delish than the pic you sent 😋😜
